On our latest visit to set up the holiday cottage we took some time out to sample one of the incredible walks around the village.
We drove about 5 minutes out of the village and parked up as I was carrying my (very heavy) 1 year old son on my back and my dad has knee issues. We walked up to the local high point north-west Kettlewell and then walked down into the village. It was stunning and I definitely felt I deserved my cake in Zarina's Coffee shop at the end.
Driving to the start and then using the second car to make it a round trip isn't really the most environmentally friendly way to explore, but with a baby and a bad knee it made an otherwise unaccessible walk very doable.
The cottage is coming along and we have guests this weekend! Happy birthday Katie! We hope you have a fantastic birthday weekend!
